For most families, Christmas is an intricate part of their home budget. The savings that have accumulated over the year, are used to buy gifts for the love ones in their lives. As with any shopping extravaganza, there is also a list to aid in organizing who gets what! But at Bottom Line, the Family Home Budget is much more then a list. It organizes, compares, double checks, tallies, and helps you to make Christmas a time of celebration; and not a time of stressing out.
With the Christmas List Sheet:
- Create a Christmas shopping List up to six people or group the names together to form larger groups.
- Know when should you stop spending. The Christmas expense sheets will let you know if you go over budget.
- Track lay-a-ways with the peace of mind, knowing that all of the math has been done for you.
- Keep track of your shopping progress with up to date summaries for all your Christmas expenses.
The Summary section of the Christmas List tells you:
- The total amount that you allowed for Christmas spending.
- The total out-of-pocket expenses as tallied from the Expense sheet.
- Any amounts that you still might own from the lay-a-way sheet.
- And any actual cash left over.
The Purple box at the right double checks to make sure that your Christmas list agrees with the Christmas Expense sheet. The words will automatically change if there is a problem. Also, you won't need to record any information on the Christmas list sheet until you actually go shopping. The Christmas list sheet is for listing expenses as you shop; it is not a list of planned expenses.
